Professional Services Manager – IT Project Delivery

We are seeking a Professional Services Manager for IT Project Delivery with expert knowledge to implement projects based on their project plan and budget and manage the Project Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Project Team’s daily activities as well as oversee the dispatch process of project tickets
  • Develop project plans, goals, and budgets while identifying resources needed, developing schedules, and measuring results
  • Understand overall project objectives, as well as the role and function of each project team member
  • Coordinate delivery and implementation of projects that meet quality assurance standards
  • Assist project team in design and development tasks
  • Organize and manage all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion with budgetary requirements
  • Drive problem investigation and resolution as required
  • Ensuring that risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated and that projects are delivered successfully through to production
  • Design and maintain technical and project documentation
  • Oversee and manage the time entry review process for the Project Engineers
  • Provide reports on an agreed schedule to Senior Management
  • Assist in the development of Project Engineers from a career perspective
  • Conduct routine employee reviews
  • Build relationships with clients and participate in necessary client meetings (Pre-& Post Sales)

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Improve customer perception and satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
  • Escalate project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels
  • Communicate to clients by keeping them informed of progress, notifying them of impending changes, agreed outages, etc.
  • Maintain specific knowledge of the client and how our services and products relate to their business strategy and goals
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and how it relates to the client’s needs
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services
  • Other duties may be individually assigned
  • Strategic planning with an ability to think ahead and plan over a 6 to 12-month time span
  • Planning and preparing written communications
  • Leading people and getting results with a strong client orientation
  • Awareness of all the organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided

Required Technical Experience:

  • Experience installing and supporting Microsoft Windows Server in both physical and virtual environments
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy in multi-site domain topologies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
  • Experience with email migrations to Microsoft Exchange and Office 365

General Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have professional appearance and reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of IT applications, processes, software, and equipment
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and client service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
  • Willing to work occasionally and/or be on call overtime, holidays, and weekends
  • Willingness to develop professionally
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in computer-related field, with courses in computer science OR
  • Five to eight years related experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Microsoft, VMware, PMP, or other industry certifications preferred.
